Overview

This half-day accredited course provides learners with a basic understanding of fire safety in the workplace. It’s designed to raise awareness of common fire hazards and what actions to take in the event of a fire. Learners will gain knowledge on fire prevention, safe evacuation procedures, and the correct use of fire extinguishers.

This course meets the statutory requirements for fire safety training under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

This course is ideal for:

  • All employees as part of workplace induction or refresher training
  • Anyone who may be required to take action upon discovering a fire or hearing the fire alarm
  • Those looking to understand their responsibilities in fire prevention and safety

  • Key legislation and responsibilities of employers and employees

Certification & Assessment

Assessment: Learners will complete a short multiple-choice assessment at the end of the course.

Certification: Successful candidates will receive the FAA Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness, a nationally recognised qualification. It is recommended that this qualification is renewed every 3 years.
