Overview

The IPAF Mast Climbing Work Platform (MCWP) Competent Assessed Person (CAP) course provides specialised training for those responsible for the safe operation, inspection, and maintenance of MCWPs. This course covers essential safety standards, technical knowledge, and practical skills needed to operate and manage MCWPs in compliance with industry regulations. Certification & Assessment

Upon successfully completing the course and assessment, participants will receive the IPAF MCWP Competent Assessed Person (CAP) certification, valid for five years. This certification is recognized within the industry and demonstrates the individual’s capability to safely and competently manage and inspect MCWPs.

Assessment:
The course includes a final written and practical assessment, testing both theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills required for the safe use and management of MCWPs. The assessment ensures that participants have the competencies required to carry out thorough examinations of MCWPs in accordance with LOLER 1998 requirements and are able to perform their roles effectively as a Competent Assessed Person.
